Opening the results view

Open the results view from the event settings window by clicking Results.

Viewing results

Individual events

The results view shows each participant's name, class, time, status, and position. Participants are grouped by class and sorted by time.

Relay events

Results are shown at two levels:

  • Team result — The team's overall result combining all leg times
  • Leg result — An individual team member's result on their own leg

You can switch between team and leg views.

Searching results

CTRL+F focuses the search field. You can find participants by name, chip number, club, or bib number.

Result statuses

Each participant's result has a status. The system sets statuses automatically for results arriving from timing devices, but you can change them as needed.

Changing status

Click the status badge next to a participant. A dropdown opens with available statuses.

Status What it means
Approved Completed the course successfully
Did not finish Started but did not complete the course
Disqualified Disqualified from the competition
Did not start Did not start the competition
DSQ proposal DSQ proposal requiring review (see below)
Registered Registered but no result yet
Manual time Time entered manually
No time No time recorded
Finished Crossed the finish line but result not yet processed
On course Currently on the course
Not competing Used in multi-stage events — participant is not competing in this stage

Handling DSQ proposals

The system marks a result as a DSQ proposal when it detects a potential problem (e.g. a missing control punch). This status is used in all event types (Competition, Training, and Fitness).

DSQ proposals are also visible in the Event monitor where you can handle them in real time.

Unknown chip linking (competition events only)

If a result arrives from a chip not registered to anyone, the participant's name appears as "Unknown participant" with the chip number. Click the unknown participant's name to open a window where you can link the chip to a pre-registered participant.

This linking feature is not available in training or fitness events.

Resolving a DSQ proposal

  1. Click the participant's result to open details
  2. Click Show punch data — you'll see each control on the course, whether it was punched, the punch time and code, extra punches, and missing punches highlighted
  3. Use Mark control as approved to approve individual controls you've verified manually (e.g. a backup slip confirms the visit)
  4. Use Toggle check slip to switch the check slip view for comparison
  5. Change the status to Approved or Disqualified
  6. Click Save changes

Tip: Check the physical slip before disqualifying — chip read errors happen, and a clear backup slip is valid evidence that the runner visited the control.

Adding participants

Click Add participant to add a new participant directly in the results view. Fill in the details and click Save changes.

In relay events, you can also use Add team to create a new team and Add member to add members to a team.

Editing participants

Click any participant in the results list to open their details. You can edit data, change status, and adjust times. Click Save changes when done, or Restore original data to discard changes.

Deleting participants

Click Delete participant to remove a participant from the results. You'll be asked for confirmation before deletion.

Exporting results

Click Export results to export results to a file. Select the Result file format from the available options and click Download result file.

Printing results

Click Print results from the results view. The result list shows participants grouped by class with times, positions, and statuses. Your browser's standard print dialog opens — you can select a printer, adjust layout, or save as PDF.

Tip: Print one class at a time as they finish — participants appreciate quickly published results.

Big picture: Processing results during and after the competition

During the competition:

  1. Keep results open alongside the Event monitor. DSQ proposals are also visible in the Event monitor.

  2. Handle DSQ proposals immediately: Click to see which controls are missing (Show punch data). Compare with the physical slip if the runner is still in the finish area. Mark controls as approved or set status to Disqualified.

  3. Handle unknown chips immediately: Click the "Unknown participant" name to link the chip to the correct registrant.

  4. Fix errors as soon as you notice them: Click the participant, correct, and save.

After the competition:

  1. Ensure everything is accounted for: Check that no one is still "On course" in the Event monitor.

  2. Export results: Click Export results, select format, and download the file. Send to a results service (e.g. IRMA) or publish on the website.

  3. Print for the finish area: Click Print results and post the lists at the finish area.
